The Turkish Fw190
Fw190 du 5eme régiment aérien à Bursa au sud d'IstanbulFw190 turcDelivered between October 1942 and May 1943, seventy two Fw190A-3 were delivered to the Turkish air force. The delivered Fw190 have an reduced armament compared at their Germanic counterparts, since they had only 2 x MG17, 7,7mm guns, the same thing in the wing roots and 2 x MGFF with 60 blows in the wings out offield of propeller. Fw190 turc This "export" series was named by German Fw190Aa3. It was equipped with old Fug7A radios and was not fitted whit the Fug25 IFF responder. All were delivered with a batch of weapons Fw190 & Spitfire du 5eme régiment aérien en patrouille ! and ammunition as well as an engine of replacement by plane, there either I found only few information except they were assigned to the 5th Air Régiment of Bursa and that they gradually left the active service from 1947/49, replaced by P47D. (some photographs on the official site of Turkish Air Force ). Research concerning the Turkish Fw190 be continued .....
