| The FW190D-10 It seems that only one apparatus deserves this designation, the prototype V23 (N°0045). Modified as am, a standard propeller VS19, an axial gun MK108, a gun MG151/20 assembled asymmetrically in the cap and always 2xMG151/20 of wing root, and equipped with Jumo 213C no specimen was ordered. (Not of others infos!)The FW190D-11 This version is been driven by a Jumo213F engine, with 2 guns MK108 of wings apart from the fields of the propeller in addition to the 2xMG151/20 to the root of the wings and not of MG131 under the engine cowling. There too, not of information when to a possible order or manufacture. A production line with, seems you he, organized during December 1944, but stopped quickly on arrival of under D-12 version. The FW190D-12 a small quantity of this version was manufactured, since some specimens recovered after the German defeat sleep in museums. It is the version of tactical support (the version F of D-9 to some extent) developped at the point with the prototypes V63, V64 and V65. Equipé in series with Rüstsats R11 with the version D-9, D12 was armed with the 2xMG151/20 to the root of the wings and lost its 2xMG131 cap with the profit of an axial MK108. The engine was Jumo213F with the device of overpower by water-methanol MW50 injection and it was equipped with 4 tanks of additional wings car-sealing which increased its capacity by 315 liters. The FW190D-13 It is the same apparatus as D-12, the MK108 of 30mm being replaced by a MG151/20. A small quantity was most probably manufactured according to the availability of the MK108. I did not find any document reporting a passage or a reception in unit or elsewhere, the dramatic turning of the events which agitated Germany of then not being favourable with the circulation and the reliability of information. Some had to be delivered to the units since at least 1 specimen exists in Champlin Air Museum in the USA. The majority of the captured planes were joined together in scrap yards, and, much of planes were destroyed then by the population for various reasons, in particular that metals of recovery represented a considerable source of income for people who were stripped of all. (the sheets of duralumin coating of the wings or the fuselages very often finished in gutter or kitchen utensils). The FW190D-14 This version is the result of an astonishing volte-face of the RLM in October 1944, which did not require anything less than to assemble Daimler-Benz DB603 on a cell of D-9! The project of Fw190D-14 taken form with the V76 prototype equipped with a DB603LA and V77 equipped with the DN60É. I could not find, in the various works which I examined, of information on the tests carried out and any order does not have, seems you it, launched by the RLM. The FW190D-15 This version would have had to be equipped with a DB603G with a tank of oil with greater capacity and 2xMG151/20 and 2xMK108 in the wings. The production would have been ensured by modification of cells of A8/F8 and the work order summer launched in April 1945 the factories Luther, Focke Wulf and Dornier. This order, was never delivered, Germany being then in full rout, it seems that some specimens at various stages of assembly was found by the forces allied.
The FW190E Some works speak about this version specifically intended for the recognition. This project which remained at the stage of the drawing boards. It was not produced, the needs being ensured by conversions for some planes of series A. |
