One of the major difficult in historical research and studies, is to determinate who should do what, when and where.
The books and documents written about the history of aviation illustrate absolutely the difficulty to find precise answers to these questions. The referential documents, when they do still exist, are not always accurate: they might not date back to the proper version, etc...
I have only presented here the data that is presently reliable. Some data still be checked against reliable sources, archives and museums.
Some aware readers might find some differences with others works references. In the absence of a time-travel-machine, some disparities are unavoidable. |
